It seems to me there are three types of blogs. I believe that these three categorizations will help you write better blogs if you’re a writer and it will help align your expectations if you are a reader.

  1. Is your blog written to inspire? A case study to inspire grit, to inspire a more caring approach, to inspire a revamp of your business.
  2. Is your blog written to offer a framework to help people to practice, execute time and time again and to hone their skills within a world-class process?
An acquisition process, a framework to write better marketing content, a methodology to design more compelling sales scripts.
  3. Is your blog an immediate fix. A specific action you could perform now, to say tweak your LinkedIn profile or execute a new meeting or interview a candidate.
Inspire, framework, instant fix. Why are you blogging?
